I reckon I need more than my strap to get my chest to the floor.....maybe a trip to a surgeon 😂
Anyone working on their #pancake or wide legged forward fold then you can't beat a self assist with a strap like this. I still get messages daily with requests of a video on how to enter the strap like this so I've included a video on the second slide. Hopefully it's clear. .
I remember one of my first yoga classes when this pose came up and I honestly thought I was doing a different pose to everyone else as not only was I sitting upright I was practically leaning backwards instead of forward! I could not imagine ever even being able to sit upright let alone lean forward. I wish I had a pic of that, although to be fair there was nothing to take a pic of except for my confused face😂 .
I have recently managed to get my chest all the way down but it's not consistent and requires a huge warm up first. .
But I wanted to share what I do to practice it and this is it. I use my strap for everything! I was even thinking of doing a strap series and I'm giving you all a few months notice to get yourselves a decent strap! .
